Hello All,
I think we can all agree that the Lovett Roarbotics team worked amazingly well together at Competition this past weekend (March 26-28). Despite mechanical issues, no one ever quit. We overcame the problems and got the robot running successfully on the field. I was really impressed with the strong team spirit and cooperation both, among our team members and with other teams’ throughout the competition. Thank you!
Thank you also to all those team members who helped up until Competition Weekend, but who couldn’t make it to the Tournament (due to the Orlando commitment).
Our objectives for this year were met: we got the Lovett Roarbotics Team started, worked hard for 6 weeks to successful build a working robot and then performed well at the Peachtree Regional Competition among the other 65 teams, finishing in 41st place!
Please plan to attend a meeting on Wednesday, April 8th (3:30 to 4:30). During this meeting we will discuss things that went well, things we learned, things we want to accomplish, things we saw that other teams did, that are worth emulating, goals, objectives, and general observations. Please contribute your thoughts, even if you are not sure you can participate next year.
This summer we will put together training modules so that next year’s season will build on this year’s learnings.
Finally, huge thanks to Ms. Deisley and Mr. Wingate for their support!
Sincerely,
Benjamin Yarmowich
